View To

Luca said that the view we have is to Corsica, (not Africa), but on the map we examined, it seemed like the view would go between Corsica and Sardinia, and if you'd look in a curved way, you'd look through the gate of Gibraltar, too: to Norway, Finland, Japan, Fireland and Brazil.

brush's diary

Kindhaft - Fantasie gross materialisiert

Mosical

We find this a very beautiful spot in the garden, because it luckily doesn't seem to be finished yet. In this overwhelming place, where your eyes can't watch as much as there is to see.
This snugly bench integrates so softly with the tuscany landscape and is so peacefull to look at, we'd like to rest on. (Pen: would prefer to rest there forever and to turn into the surrounding. Sinking like a stone.) I can feel with her.

We are digesting our visit to the garden - remembering how mosical it was! (musical mosaic)

brainwashday

The stormy wind and wild sea blow and wash our minds away. We pray to the ancient greek god Aelios for mercy.
The tent though, we are so thankfull for - THANX SIMON for lending it to us - we prooved it now, it is really water resistent and therefor it is also our rock in the ocean of ideas.

brush inspires me to try out the watercolors. it makes perfect sense since it rains...
and we are so close to the sea.

tarot garden

About Pen

Pen loves the rain, so today is her day. She loves the sound of the falling drops, the cozy raincoat that is like a little shelter, the clouds wrapping around mountains, from which you hear the echo whirl into your mind. Because she is a secret singer and poet, she is a composer! (You will notice by the way she writes.) And perhaps the rain is her favorite accompaniment. She doesn't yet know what I am writing about her. Oh oh!  She repeats verses like stitches in a knitted scarf. Savouring the taste of a syllable, of a sentence or a half. By the way, she loves knitting and sewing too and I have the feeling that she can dive into activities which are very repetitive where she shows an amazing endurance without loosing the drive but where she kind of melts into the nothing. For examle she has sewn twenty eight books from fabrics she got out of a free box while she was in the States. These books are all unique creations with lots of textile pages, each one designed according to the traces on the material.
Right now we are sharing a beautiful moment preparing for our next journey to the Tarot garden from Niki de Saint Phalle in Italy, where we will be camping at the seashore and can't wait to listen to the waves.
She is breaking her head trying to find out what material she shall take with her! We discuss about the different types of paper, the cardboard, the brushes and pencils... and start dreaming!

Here, on our last trip to the Normandie in october 2010 Pen didn't need to trace a line, luckily she found it!

about brush

brush on the port in le havre. a place she loves. 2010

brush is always waking up early.
you know not early,
really early!
she says it herself, its her favorite time of the day. per example, yesterday she went to bed a little passed midnight and then woke up at 6am. two days ago she went sleeping at 11pm and woke up at 5am. she found a date from two weeks ago where she woke up at 4am but went to bed around 1am.
so what i am trying to say ?
I just want to register how much life is in the early hours of brush`s day, when many people in this world are still connected to the subconsciousness of dark.
she is a master of the day as a sun!

what you also have to know about brush is if you dont know her, she travels a lot.
a lot means 3 to 4 times a week. she travels by train, she travels by heart and she travels with passion!
a real trainer she is.

brush has an incredible sense of color and light. you can see it in her eyes too!

and i wonder what would happen if she would paint every day, six days a week,
for a few months
to paint a painting.

-the lights before sunrise and the lights before sunset go with her flow. and the other way around.
If brush is around i forget to think of all my clouds of doubts and things.

right now we are trying to do a list of things to bring for our next journey to italy.

-material to sew (working on our iniform in the train to capalbio)
-english dictionary
-shirts from our last tour to bring and handstitch new things to it.
-simon`s tent
-paper to pen and brush
-digital video camera
-computer

Patchwork

Brush got to the patchwork tecnique and wants to use it on tour. It suites to the way of life, because as you travel you collect memories which you can add bit by bit.
